Vittorialessia Brunetti
Vittorialessia Brunetti was born in Bari on 16 July 1997, where she currently lives and works. From an early age, as young as three, she felt the need to represent everything that captured her attention, using drawing to express her personal way of observing and interpreting the world.
After graduating from a classical high school, she decided to pursue her artistic education by enrolling at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari, where she earned a degree in Painting with the highest honours.
She subsequently embarked on an exhibition career, participating in important art events in Italy and abroad. Her main achievements include Renovaart – 100 Artists for the Future, held in Matera and organised by Apuliaaste; participation in several art fairs in Parma, Padua, Pavia and Genoa through her collaboration with Apuliaaste Gallery; the Lyon Biennale; and numerous group exhibitions in Rome, Palermo, Madrid and Milan, particularly in the Brera district.
In 2024, she was a finalist for the Michele CEA Award, while in 2025 she received a special mention for her work Mani di Donna (Hands of a Woman) at the Contemporary Art Grand Prize in Milan.
Her artistic practice is distinguished by a distinctive digital painting technique, created on an iPad using Procreate software and an Apple Pencil as her expressive tool. Her approach recalls the gestures and techniques of traditional painting. Each work emerges from the encounter between technological innovation and pictorial tradition, resulting in images characterised by remarkable visual depth and a strong sense of realism.
Her works explore themes such as duality, the contrasts between light and form, presence and absence, as well as the role of women. The female figure is portrayed through essential yet powerful imagery, suspended between delicacy and inner strength. Her sophisticated use of colour and carefully balanced chromatic contrasts creates a strong visual and emotional impact, enhancing the sensations conveyed and the depth of her subjects.
This artistic vision runs throughout Brunetti’s entire body of work, from the expressive intensity of her portraits to the perspectival constructions of trompe-l’œil, and finally to the formal synthesis of minimalism. Her personal and versatile visual language intertwines aesthetic exploration with an investigation of emotions and identity.
More recently, Vittoria Brunetti founded Vitardee, a brand through which her artistic expression extends into the world of wearable handcrafted creations. The project stems from her desire to transform art into a form of personal expression, giving voice to what the soul is often unable to communicate through words.
Vitardee’s creations range from refined fashion accessories to art jewellery, distinguished by an elegant, minimalist design and crafted with the expertise of skilled goldsmiths. Within this project, art, craftsmanship and aesthetic sensibility come together to create objects that express identity, emotion and beauty.
