Alberto Angiolin
IT: Alberto Angiolin (Vicenza, 1977) è un artista, pittore e graphic designer italiano. Inizia il suo percorso artistico nel 2013, sviluppando da autodidatta le basi del disegno anatomico e della pittura, spinto da una profonda passione per le arti visive. Non avendo frequentato un istituto d’arte, costruisce il proprio linguaggio attraverso un approccio intimo e personale alla materia.
Determinante è l’incontro, nello stesso anno, con la sua mentore Mariella Scandola, che lo guida verso una maggiore consapevolezza espressiva e lo porta a realizzare i primi ritratti. Fin da subito, il suo lavoro si distingue per l’attenzione all’espressività dei volti e, in particolare, degli sguardi, spesso declinati in soggetti femminili. Le sue tecniche spaziano dall’olio su tela agli acrilici, fino all’uso distintivo di inchiostro a china e pennarelli ad acqua.
La musica rappresenta un elemento centrale nella sua ricerca artistica: una fonte di ispirazione costante che si traduce in una serie di ritratti dedicati ai grandi protagonisti del panorama musicale. In queste opere, Angiolin riesce a catturare l’essenza e il carisma degli artisti, trasformando il segno grafico in una sorta di “melodia visiva”.
Il suo stile è caratterizzato da un tratto deciso e da un uso evocativo del bianco e nero, che conferisce profondità emotiva e forte riconoscibilità alle opere. Oggi vive e lavora a Thiene, dove alterna l’attività di graphic designer alla ricerca artistica, sviluppata principalmente nel contesto domestico, luogo in cui trova la dimensione ideale per elaborare le proprie intuizioni visive.

He began his artistic journey in 2013, developing the foundations of anatomical drawing and painting as a self-taught artist, driven by a deep passion for the visual arts. Without formal training at an art school, he built his own visual language through an intimate and personal approach to the medium.
A decisive moment came that same year with his meeting with his mentor Mariella Scandola, who guided him toward greater expressive awareness and encouraged him to create his first portraits. From the outset, his work has been distinguished by a strong focus on facial expression, particularly the intensity of the gaze, often explored through female subjects. His techniques range from oil on canvas to acrylics, as well as a distinctive use of India ink and water-based markers.
Music plays a central role in his artistic research, serving as a constant source of inspiration that has led to a series of portraits dedicated to major figures in the music world. In these works, Angiolin captures the essence and charisma of the artists, transforming graphic marks into a kind of “visual melody.”
His style is characterized by bold lines and an evocative use of black and white, which gives his works emotional depth and strong visual identity. The combination of hand drawing and graphic sensitivity, developed through his work as a designer, further enriches his language, resulting in works that blend technical precision with expressive intensity.
Portraiture lies at the core of his production, developed through thematic series that explore identity, memory, and cultural influences, such as the project dedicated to the musicians who have accompanied him since childhood.
In 2016, he exhibited at the modern art gallery in Thiene, receiving positive feedback from both the public and critics. His works have since been presented in various exhibition spaces and venues throughout the province.
Today, he lives and works in Thiene, where he balances his activity as a graphic designer with his artistic research, developed mainly in a domestic setting, a space in which he finds the ideal dimension to shape his visual ideas.
