Nicola Pucci
IT: Nicola Pucci nasce a Palermo il 28/05/1966. Conseguita la maturità classica, si trasferisce a Roma dove frequenta un corso quadriennale di illustrazione pubblicitaria presso l’Istituto Europeo del Design (IED). Successivamente trascorre un breve periodo a Vipiteno disegnando copertine per i celebri quaderni Pigna. Tornato a Roma, inizia a dedicarsi a tempo pieno alla pittura. In questo periodo frequenta assiduamente lo studio del maestro Bruno Caruso, che lo incoraggia e scrive un testo per la sua prima mostra che terrà a Palermo nel 1994.
Dal 1995 ad oggi, il lavoro di Pucci è stato esposto in Italia, Gran Bretagna, Francia e Stati Uniti e Corea del sud, si è guadagnato l’attenzione di personalità del mondo dell’arte di fama mondiale come Larry Gagosian e Carlo Bilotti, rinomato collezionista d’arte, che ne sono diventati collezionisti.
Ha realizzato importanti mostre personali in musei quali il Museo Palazzo Collicola Arti Visive a Spoleto, il Museo Carlo Bilotti, Aranciera di Villa Borghese a Roma, Fondazione Mudima a Milano.
I quadri di Pucci fanno parte di importanti collezioni permanenti pubbliche e private in Italia e all’estero: il Museo Carlo Bilotti a Roma, la Collezione Fendi, la collezione Larry Gagosian, il MAC a Gibellina, Fondazione Sgarbi Cavallini – Ferrara, Fondazione Donà dalle rose – Venezia.Ha realizzato diverse copertine per diverse case editrici, tra cui Sellerio.Attualmente è rappresentato dalla Galleria Ca’ d’Oro a New York, dalla Duson Gallery a Seoul e in Italia da Von Buren Gallery a Roma, e MLC a Palermo.
EN: Nicola Pucci was born in Palermo on May 28, 1966. After graduating from high school, he moved to Rome, where he attended a four-year course in advertising illustration at the European Institute of Design (IED). He subsequently spent a short time in Vipiteno, designing covers for the renowned Pigna notebooks. Upon returning to Rome, he began to devote himself full-time to painting. During this period, he assiduously frequented the studio of maestro Bruno Caruso, who encouraged him and wrote a text for his first exhibition, which he held in Palermo in 1994.
Since 1995, Pucci's work has been exhibited in Italy, Great Britain, France, the United States, and South Korea, attracting the attention of world-renowned art figures such as Larry Gagosian and renowned art collector Carlo Bilotti, who have since become collectors of his work.
He has held major solo exhibitions at museums such as the Palazzo Collicola Visual Arts Museum in Spoleto, the Carlo Bilotti Museum, the Aranciera di Villa Borghese in Rome, and the Mudima Foundation in Milan.
Pucci's paintings are part of important permanent public and private collections in Italy and abroad: the Carlo Bilotti Museum in Rome, the Fendi Collection, the Larry Gagosian Collection, the MAC in Gibellina, the Sgarbi Cavallini Foundation in Ferrara, and the Donà dalle Rose Foundation in Venice. He has created several book covers for various publishing houses, including Sellerio.
