Gabriele Casale
IT: Gabriele Casale nasce a Latina il 5 gennaio 1982. Dopo aver conseguito la maturità scientifica presso il liceo “E. Majorana” di Latina, prosegue la propria formazione all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, dove nel 2005 si laurea in Pittura con lode, discutendo una tesi sull’Iperrealismo. Tra il 2001 e il 2009 collabora nel campo del mosaico con l’Atelier d’arte spirituale del Centro Aletti di Roma. Attualmente si dedica alla pittura e al mosaico, portando avanti una ricerca coerente e stratificata tra linguaggi e materiali.
La sua ricerca pittorica prende origine dall’osservazione del paesaggio e della natura, intesi non come soggetti da rappresentare, ma come spazi interiori, memorie sensibili e territori emotivi. La pittura si configura come un processo di stratificazione, in cui il colore costruisce profondità e tensioni, mentre il segno emerge come traccia di un’esperienza più che come elemento descrittivo.
Nel suo lavoro il confine tra figurazione e astrazione rimane volutamente aperto: ciò che interessa all’artista non è la riconoscibilità dell’immagine, ma la possibilità di evocare una presenza, un ritmo, un equilibrio instabile. La superficie pittorica diventa così un campo di relazione in cui materia e luce dialogano lentamente, lasciando affiorare una dimensione contemplativa.
Per Casale, la pittura rappresenta uno spazio di ascolto e di tempo, in cui l’immagine si costruisce per sottrazione, accogliendo l’imprevisto come parte essenziale del processo creativo.

Majorana" high school in Latina, he continued his education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, where he graduated with honors in Painting in 2005, with a thesis on Hyperrealism. Between 2001 and 2009, he collaborated in the field of mosaic with the Spiritual Art Atelier of the Aletti Center in Rome. He currently focuses on painting and mosaic, pursuing a coherent and layered research between languages and materials.
His pictorial research stems from the observation of landscape and nature, understood not as subjects to be depicted, but as interior spaces, sensitive memories, and emotional territories. Painting is a process of stratification, in which color builds depth and tension, while the mark emerges as the trace of an experience rather than as a descriptive element.
In his work, the boundary between figuration and abstraction remains deliberately open: what interests the artist is not the recognizability of the image, but the possibility of evoking a presence, a rhythm, an unstable balance. The painted surface thus becomes a field of relation in which matter and light slowly dialogue, allowing a contemplative dimension to emerge.
For Casale, painting represents a space of listening and time, in which the image is constructed by subtraction, embracing the unexpected as an essential part of the creative process.
