Andrea Marsella
IT: Andrea Marsella, nato a Grottaglie nel 1997, vive e lavora a Modena. Dopo il diploma presso il liceo artistico, approfondisce la propria formazione studiando per un breve periodo con il pittore Massimo Lagrotteria a Carpi.
La sua ricerca artistica si concentra sugli sguardi e sui tratti che caratterizzano corpi e volti, con l’intento di suggerire frammenti di vita e vissuti nascosti dietro ogni soggetto rappresentato. Le sue figure attraversano una gamma emotiva ampia—tristi, arrabbiate, silenziose, felici—riflettendo la complessità dell’identità umana.
Convinto che ogni individuo sia abitato da molteplici sfaccettature, attraverso la pittura Marsella indaga e restituisce l’unicità di ogni persona, cercando di raccontarla nel frammento che sceglie di rappresentare.
Andrea Marsella, born in Grottaglie in 1997, lives and works in Modena. After graduating from an art high school, he furthered his training by studying for a short period with the painter Massimo Lagrotteria in Carpi.
His artistic research focuses on gazes and on the features that define bodies and faces, with the aim of suggesting fragments of life and lived experiences that may lie behind each subject he portrays. His figures express a wide range of emotions—sad, angry, silent, happy—reflecting the complexity of human identity.
Convinced that each individual is inhabited by multiple selves, through his painting Marsella seeks to explore and convey the uniqueness of every person, attempting to tell their story within the fragment he chooses to depict.
